On the evening of 26 September 2012, Ambassador Apichart Chinwanno attended the “Amazing Thailand” Workshop Roadshow at Sofitel Hotel, Brussels organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Office in Brussels. Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, Deputy Governor for International Marketing, Europe, and the Middle East, headed a delegation of sellers from the tourism industry in Thailand including destination management companies (DMC), leading hotels from Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiangmai and Kanchanaburi, as well as Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways International to meet with tourism buyers in Belgium. The Workshop successfully promoted tourism in Thailand where both buyers and sellers expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for this matchmaking initiative of the TAT. Ambassador Apichart presented the first prize of a Thai Airways International’s round trip direct flight ticket between Brussels and Bangkok to the lucky winner at the end of the evening. Numerous runner-up prizes contributed by sellers were also given.
