On 9 November 2009, a Buddhist ceremony performed by 5 Buddhist monks from all Thai temples in Belgium to bless the new building was held at the Royal Thai Embassy, located at Chaussee de Waterloo 876, 1000 Brussels.
After the private ceremony, an ASEAN informal luncheon was followed. Honorary Consul from Antwerp, Presidents and/or members from Thai Friendships in Belgium, Thai Flemish Association and Thai ? Bel also attended.
The Embassy was instructed to buy this building during the tenure of H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, who is now Ambassador of Thailand to USA. It now houses the Mission of Thailand to the European Communities, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Agricultural Affairs.
