On 25 March 2009, the Royal Thai Embassy/ Mission of Thailand to the European Communities convened a brainstorming meeting between Team Thailand, Thai Honorary Consul and Friends of Thailand.
The meeting was briefed on the latest political and economic situation in Thailand and discussed issues relating to the promotion of investment, trade, tourism and image of Thailand both in Belgium and Luxembourg.
This special meeting was chaired by Ambassador Pisan and attended by Minister Sarun, Minister Counsellor Phantipha, Consul Akrapong, chiefs of Commercial, Customs and Science offices, as well as the representative of Agricultural office, all based in Brussels. Also attended were Military Attache, chiefs of BOI and TAT offices from Paris, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) from the Hague, Mr. Francois Kramer, who is Thai Honorary Consul from Luxembourg, BOI consultant for Benelux countries, TAT representative in Brussels, Mr. Boonthong Kormongkolkul, President of Thai-Friendship in Belgium, Mr. Karl Lauwers, President of Thaibel Association and Dr. Walther Holvoet as President and Mr. Wouter Gijs as committee member of the Thai-Flemish Association.
