Ambassador of Thailand signed the Agreement in the Form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Union and Thailand Pursuant to Article XXVIII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994 Relating to the Modification of Concessions with respect to Processed Poultry Meat

On 18 June 2012, Ambassador Apichart CHINWANNO, on behalf of the Thai Government together with Danish ambassador, H.E. Jeppe TRANHOLM-MIKKELSEN, on behalf of the EU, signed the Agreement in the Form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Union and Thailand Pursuant to Article XXVIII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994 Relating to the Modification of Concessions with respect to Processed Poultry Meat.  The Agreement stipulated EU’s commitment in allocating to Thailand a set of country-specific quota for the importation poultry meat, including among others, processed chicken and duck meat.  This Agreement will help ensure Thailand’s market share in the EU market as well as promote Thai exports of relevant products to the EU in the future.
