On 19 April 2012 at the Philippines Embassy, Ambassador Apichart Chinwanno, together with ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives from Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei, Philippine, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore and Lao PDR had a working lunch with Baroness Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the European Commission. Both sides exchanged views on the 19th ASEAN-European Union Ministerial Meeting (AEMM) held in Brunei on 26-27 April 2012, where Baroness Catherine Ashton will lead a strong EU delegation comprised of Foreign Ministers and high representatives from 27 member states of the EU. After leaving Brunei, Baroness Catherine Ashton will visit Myanmar and Thailand accordingly.
Also present at the lunch were Mr. David O’Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, (EEAS), Mr. James Morrison, Head of the Cabinet of Baroness Ashton, Mr. Viorel Isticioaia Budura, Managing Director for Asia, EEAS and Mr. Steven Everts, Member of the Cabinet of Baroness Ashton.
