On 20th March 2012, Assoc. Prof. Chayodom Sabhasri, Director of Masters of Arts in European Studies (MAEUS), Chulalongkorn University, together with MAEUS lecturer and students, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Apichart Chinwanno at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Embassy staff and Heads of Office of Customs Counsellor, Office of Commercial Affairs, Office of Science and Technology Counsellor and representative of the Office of Agricultural Affairs briefed the group on Thai-Belgium and Thai-EU relations as well as the main responsibilities of Team Thailand and the Mission of Thailand to the EU. After the briefing, Ambassador Apichart hosted lunch for the group with members of Team Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy.
The MAEUS programmeof Chulalongkorn University, began in 1997, is the first European studies programme in Southeast Asia. Teaching team are well-known academics from Thailand, Asian and European countries.
