On Thursday 23 May 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy welcomed 21 fourth graders from St. Joseph School and their teacher, to the fourth and last session of the “Sawasdee Thailand!” Project for 2013.
The Royal Thai Embassy organized the “Sawasdee Thailand !” Project during April-May 2013 to provide information to students about the different facets of Thailand. A total of 96 students and their teachers from Institut Marie Immaculée-Montjoie (participated in the project on 30 April), The European School (participated in the project on 6 May) and St. Joseph School (participated in the project on 16 and 23 May) took part in the “Sawasdee Thailand!” Project.
Following the successful completion of the project, the Royal Thai Embassy also organized a drawing competition to build on the students’ introduction to Thai culture, customs and the way of life of a Thai primary school student. Students can draw a picture of their impressions of Thailand inspired by their participation in the “Sawasdee Thailand!” Project. The top 3 winners and complimentary prize winners will receive a voucher to enjoy a Thai dinner their families at The Blue Elephant, Les Larmes du Tigres or Villa Singha.
