Ambassador and Team Thailand in Brussels visit the Port of Zeebrugge

On 6 February 2014, Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and the heads of offices and members of Team Thailand in Brussels from the Office of Agricultural Affairs, the Office of Commercial Affairs, Office of Customs Counsellor, Office of Science and Technology and the Royal Thai Embassy, visited the Port of Zeebrugge in Zeebrugge, Belgium.

The Port of Zeebrugge is a deepsea port in the North Sea in the western part of Belgium and is considered to be a young port relative to the more familiar ports, such as the Port of Rotterdam. The Port of Zeebrugge uses the roll-on/roll-off technique to efficiently roll cargo on and off vessels at the port (in contrast to using cranes to load and unload cargo), and has a comprehensive logistics network covering sea transport, roads, and railways that can conveniently transport cargo to various destinations in Europe such as London, Paris and Munich within 24 hours.
