On 10 February 2014, Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool was invited by Mr. Dirk Van den Berghe, CEO Delhaize Belgium, to visit Delhaize’s warehouse in Broekooi, Zellik which is the most advanced automated fresh warehouse in Europe. Ambassador toured the warehouse at 2-4 degree celcius, and the distribution line system set up in the warehouse. Later, Mr. Illya Van den Borre, Director Corporate Affairs briefed the Ambassador and delegation about Deilhaize’s profile in the World and Belgium. Discussion on how to promote Thai food items and possible cooperation between the Embassy and Delhaize were raised during the working lunch organized by Delhaize. Ambassador was accompanied by Minister Chulamanee Chartsuwan and Minister Counsellor Arunrung Phothong. Apart from Thai guests, Delhaize also invited Ambassador of Japan to join this event.
