On 9 September 2014 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool met with Mr. Jean-Christophe Peterkenne, Director of Strategy and Development, Liège, who attended the meeting on behalf of Mr. Willy Demeyer, Mayor of Liège. Ambassador Nopadol and Mr. Peterkenne discussed the possibility of organizing a Thai fair to promote Thai food and culture in Liège, as well as a Thai Day to introduce Thai businessmen to their counterparts in Belgium and provide information about the Thai economy, culture and Buddhism. Mr. Peterkenne said he was confident Mayor Demeyer would be supportive of both initiatives.
