On 1 October 2014 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and his wife hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Viroj Phonprakit, CEO of Jubilee Diamond, on the occasion of receiving the “HRD Antwerp Diamond Ambassador” Award in recognition of Mr. Viroj’s personal commitment to promote Antwerp within the diamond and jewelry industry in Thailand. HRD Antwerp is one of the largest and most respected diamond grading labs in the world. Mr. Viroj is the first person in the world to receive this award.
The official award ceremony took place on 30 September 2014 at the Antwerp city hall in the presence of Governor Cathy Berx and Vice Mayor Ludo van Campenhout. In addition, Jubilee Diamond is the first retailer in the world to receive the “HRD Antwerp Certified Diamond Jeweller” award. This award recognizes Jubilee Diamond’s trustworthy and transparent customer service and product expertise while also meeting strict European quality standards. This award was presented to Jubilee Diamond at the Residence of the Belgian Ambassador in Bangkok on 11 September 2014.
