On Tuesday 7 October 2014 Ambassador. Nopadol Gunavibool hosted lunch for Ambassador Jan Van Dessel, Director-General for Bilateral Affairs, and Ambassador Jehanne Roccas, Director, Asia and Oceania Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium. Minister Counsellor Arunrung Photong Humphreys also joined the lunch.
Both sides exchanged views on (1) relations between the Belgian and Thai royal families; (2) the political situation in Thailand; (3) the second round of the Political Consultations meeting in Thailand; (4) the ASEM 10 meeting in Milan; (5) the establishment of the International Coordination Committee (ICC) Preah Vihear; (6) the 10th Anniversary of the Indian Ocean Tsunami – Commemorative Event on 26 December 2014 at Phang-nga Province; (7) the formation of the federal government in Belgium and (8) the Embassy’s activities and opportunities for cooperation in the future.
