Suanplu Chorus participate in “1000 Voices for Peace” Project

On 5 November 2014 Suanplu Chorus and Furiant Chamber Choir performed at the “One Thousand Voices for Peace: Fellowship Concert” at Saint-Nicolas’ Church, Ghent. The “One Thousand Voices for Peace” Project is organized by the Flanders Festival Brussels during 3-9 November 2014 to mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I and as a homage to peace.

The Suanplu Chorus gave a captivating performance combining the beauty of Thai music and culture with Western choral tradition. On 9 November 2014 Suanplu Chorus will join 17 foreign and 22 Belgian choirs in a final concert at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, which will be attended by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.

Suanplu Chorus is a mixed voice chorus based in Bangkok and was established in 2000 by Mrs. Dusdi Banomyong, Executive Director.
