On 9 November 2014 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and his wife attended the “One Thousand Voices for Peace” Concert at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Great War. Suanplu Chorus joined 16 other foreign choirs and 22 Belgian choirs and the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra in a stirring final concert of the “One Thousand Voices for Peace” Project, which was also attended by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
Earlier on 5 November 2014, the Suanplu Chorus performed at Saint-Nicolas’ Church in Ghent together with Furiant Chamber Choir. T the “One Thousand Voices for Peace” Project organized by the Flanders Festival Brussels during 3-9 November 2014 to mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I and as a homage to peace.
