Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool presents the Letter of Credence to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

On 13-14 November 2014 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and his wife travelled to Luxembourg to present the Letter of Credence accrediting Ambassador Nopadol as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

On 13 November 2014, Ambassador Nopadol was received by Mr. Pierre Bley, Marshall of the Court, who briefed him on the procedure for the presentation of credentials. Ambassador Nopadol then presented copies of the Letter of Credence and Letter of Recall to Ms. Anne Masotti, Deputy Chief of Protocol.  On 14 November 2014, HRH Grand Duke Henri graciously granted an audience to Ambassador Nopadol and his wife on 14 November 2014 at 11.30 hrs to present his Letter of Credence.

During his visit to Luxembourg, Ambassador Nopadol and diplomats from the Embassy also met with Ambassador Marc Ungeheuer, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg; Mr. Jean-Paul Reiter, Director of Immigration in function, and Mr. Gabriel Baptista, Responsible for Asia, ASEM and ASEAN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg to discuss (1) the possibility of an economic mission to Thailand; (2) the 10th Anniversary of the Indian Ocean Tsunami Commemorative Event on 26 December 2014 at Phang Nga Province;  (3) the ASEM Symposium and ASEM SOM meetings in 2015; and (4) a long stay permit for Thai monks in Luxembourg.  Ambassador Nopadol also met with representatives of the Thai Community to discuss the new venue for Wat Thai Dhammaram in Luxembourg.
