On December 9th, 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted the reception for His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary, at the Tramsschapp Cultural Centre in Luxembourg. On the occasion of His Majesty the King’s 87th Birthday Anniversary which took place on December 5th, 2014, His Excellency Nopadol Gunavibool, the Ambassador of Thailand to Luxembourg, proposed a toast to express well-wishes to Grand Duke Henry of Luxembourg and His Majesty the King of Thailand. The ambassador, then, led the staff of the Thai mission and the Thai community in Luxembourg to express their loyalty and birthday wish to His Majesty the King by giving remarks, candle lighting and singing, in unison, Sadudee Maharaja and the royal anthem. Also, at the end of the ceremony, the candles were put together to form a text mosaic that reads “WE LOVE KING.” The celebration was attended by approximately 140 guests comprising representatives from Grand Ducal Palace, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, high-ranking officials, diplomatic corps, honourary consul-general, President of AMCHAM Luxembourg, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg as well as the Thai communities in Luxembourg.
