On January 13th, 2015, Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool hosted a luncheon for Ambassador Yang Yanyi and diplomatic staff of the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union, at the Amabssador’s residence. Mrs Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Minister, and diplomats as well as staff of the Mission of Thailand to the EU also joined the luncheon.
Both sides discussed and exchanged views on various issues, including (1) the strengthening of the bilateral relations between Thailand and China; (2) China’s readiness in promoting people-to-people connectivity with both ASEAN and the EU; (3) the integration of the ASEAN Economic Community; (4) the bilateral relations with the EU of Thailand and China; (5) the current progress of the political situation in Thailand; (6) ASEAN Brussels Committee’s dialogues with Members of the European Parliament and (7) the planned activities for the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the bilateral relations between China and the EU.
