Ambassador Nopadol visits Luxembourg

On 26 January 2008 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool visited Luxembourg and had lunch with Mr. Gabriel Baptista, Responsible for Asia, ASEM and ASEAN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg. Both sides exchanged views on (1) the political and economic situation in Thailand; (2) the possibility of an economic mission to Thailand; (3) the participation of Ambassador Marc Ungeheuer, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg at the ASEM Symposium on 30 March 2015 in Thailand; and (4) a meeting between the ASEAN Ambassadors in Brussels and the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg in February before the Foreign Minister’s planned trip to Asia.

The Ambassador then met with Mr. François Kremer, Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Luxembourg. Ambassador Nopadol viewed plans of the new building that will house the Royal Thai Consulate office upon its completion and discussed the legal support and assistance Mr. Kremer can provide in the process of buying land to house Wat Dhammaraanm in Luxembourg. Ambassador Nopadol then met with the representatives of the Thai Community in Luxembourg to discuss how to raise funds to purchase land to house Wat Dhammaraam as well as other activities, such as the Thai New Year festivities on 18 April at Tramsschapp Cultural Center.
