On January 30th, 2015, Ambassador Nopdadol Gunavibool and Team Thailand officials visited Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) in Antwerp. The Ambassador and delegates met with AWDC officials: Mr Christian van Doninck, Head of Business Development, Mr Michael Geelhand De Merxem, Public Affair Officer, and Mrs Barbara Descheemaecker, PR and Protocol Officer. On this occasion, Team Thailand delegates had an opprtunity to discuss with the AWDC officials on the procedure and technology of diamond certification as well as wholesale domestic and international diamond trade conducted at the 4 exchanges within the diamond district of Antwerp. The Ambassador also led the delegation to visit the diamond grading laboratory at the AWDC and one of the polishing vendors at the Antwerp’s diamond district.
