Remarks by Mr. Nopadol Gunavibool, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium
At “Thailand Fan Club Roadshow 2015” on 7 May 2015
at Theatre Vaudeville, Brussels
Thailand Fan Club Members,
Distinguishes Guests,
Sawasdee krup,
I am very pleased to welcome you all to the first “Thailand Fan Club Roadshow” in Belgium organized by the Office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Paris.
As Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, one of my duties is to represent Thailand and promote relations between our respective countries. Through my travels and contact with people in Belgium, I have been impressed by friendship and enthusiasm you have for Thailand. In addition to bringing back good memories and pictures to share with friends and family, many of you remain engaged with Thailand through work with development and charity organizations. You are all “Ambassadors of Friendship”, who help strengthen and deepen understanding between Belgium and Thailand. We thank you for your efforts and affection for Thailand.
The number of Belgian tourists to Thailand has increased steadily. Almost 100,000 Belgians visited Thailand last year. This success would not have been possible without the support of “Thailand Fan Club” members and your social networks. Tonight we come together to share our fond memories of Thailand and to recognize your support.
With Thai food and a traditional Pong Lang performance from the Northeastern region of Thailand, a game show on stage, focusing on Thai culture and the new “must-see” places in Thailand, I hope you’ll have a memorable evening. And I’ll be happy to see the lucky winner of the grand prize – a roundtrip ticket to Thailand from Thai Airways International and accommodation vouchers from our partners.
Dear Friends of Thailand,
Once again, I am pleased to meet all of you tonight. I am inspired by your passion for Thailand and I hope you will continue to share your interest and support for Thailand with your friends and family. I look forward to welcoming you back to Thailand. Kob khun krup.
