On 26 May 2015 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool hosted lunch for 26 participants in the Financial and Fiscal Management Program for Senior Executives under the General Comptroller Department, Ministry of Finance at the Ambassador’s Residence. Mr. Patchara Anuntasilpa, Deputy Director General of the General Comptroller Department, headed the delegation on their study visit to study the best practices and experiences of financial and fiscal management in government agencies in Belgium.
In the morning, the delegation visited the Federal Public Service Budget and Management Control. Mr. Ludo Waterschoot, Director-General Assistance to the Preparation of the Budget briefed the delegation on Belgium’s budget system, including the government’s budget disbursement system and spending control system and the coordination between the federal and regional governments.
