Thailand becomes the 100th Contracting Party to the Revised Kyoto Convention

On 12 June 2015 Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and Mr. Somchai Sujjapongse, DirectorGeneral of the Customs Department, represented Thailand in depositing the instrument of accession to the International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures (Revised Kyoto Convention). Mr. Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization was also present at the ceremony. The ceremony took place during the 125th/126th Annual Sessions of the World Customs Organization’s Council in Brussels.

Thailand became the 100thand Sierra Leone became the 101stcontracting party to the Revised Kyoto Convention. Other ASEAN countries who are contracting parties include Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
