During 20-23 June 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels / Mission of Thailand to the European Union organized events and meeting for H.E. Mr. Norachit Sinhaseni, Member and Spokesperson of the Constitution Drafting Committee and H.E. Mr. Kitti Wasinondh, Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Legislative Assembly to promote better understanding about the process of Thailand’s political reform and building sustainable democracy. The meetings included a courtesy call on His Honorable Mr. Siefried Bracke, President of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium and a meeting with Mr. Georges Dallemagne, Member of the Chamber of Representatives and Chairman of Thai-Belgian bilateral section of the Belgian IPU. H.E. Mr. Norachit Sinhaseni and H.E. Mr. Kitti Wasinondh were panelists in the debate entitled “Building Sustainable Democracy in Thailand” organized by EU-Asia Centre and the Royal Thai Embassy.
H.E. Mr. Kitti Wasinondh, in his capacity of a member of Thailand Sustainable Development Foundation Board of Directors also met with representatives from Belgian Development Agency and DG DEVCO, DG ENV and DG RTD of the European Commission to discuss possible cooperation on sustainable development by using Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a model.
