Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Claire Tillekaerts, CEO of Flanders Investment and Trade
Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium hosted a dinner in honour of the Secretary-General of the Agricultural Land Reform Office and the Chairman of the Appeal Committee, Social Security Office, on the occasion of their visits to the Kingdom of Belgium
On 9 September 2017, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to the Kingdom of Belgium and the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels participated in networking activities with the Thaismiles VZW, which is the Belgian non-profit organization, and the City of Torhout (in Flanders Region), where the Thaismiles VZW is located. Thaismiles VZW carries out the education and HIV/AIDS projects in the northeastern part of Thailand and activities to promote Thailand in Belgium such as Songkran Festival and Loy Kratong Festival with the supports of the City of Torhout. The Ambassador and the Embassy officials were welcomed by Mr. Kristof Audenaert, Acting Mayor of Torhout, the Aldermen of Torhout, Mr. Benny Mareel, Chairman of the Thaismiles VZW, members of Thaismiles VZW, and Mr. Luc Metsdagh, Chairman of the Thai-Flemish Information Center in Koekelare (which has been succeeded by the Thaismiles VZW) at the City Hall of Torhout. The Thaismiles VZW also organized for the Ambassador and the Embassy officials to visit a Sala Thai (Thai Pavilion) in Koekelare, which is one of the tourist attraction of the city, built by the Thai-Flemish Friendship Association in 1989, and the Kinnaree statue in one of the public parks in the city, donated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as hosted lunch for the group.
