Deputy Chief of Mission attended the Thai-Flemish Cultural Association’s (Thaivlac) New Year reception


On 27 January 2018, Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Royal Thai Embassy, represented the Ambassador of Thailand at the the New Year’s reception organized by the Thai-Flemish Cultural Association (Thais-Vlaamse Cultuurvereniging vzw -Thaivlac vzw) held at the Luchtbal Cultural Centre in Antwerp. Mr. Johannes van Dijk, Chairman of the Thaivlac vzw, gave a welcoming remarks highlighting the longstanding close relations between Thailand and Belgium, especially between the peoples, which reaches its 150th anniversary this year. The DCM responded with an expression of deep appreciation of Thaivlac’s role in promoting good relations and understanding between Thais and Belgians, through cultural and language lessons, and encouraged its members to continue to learn Thai in order to have a deeper appreciation of the rich Thai cultural heritage.
Thaivlac vzw is a cultural association based in Antwerp, Flanders region, which aims to promote Thai culture to the Belgian people in Flanders region through Thai language courses and Thai cultural activities.
