On 28 February 2018, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Gaston Stronck, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg. Both sides discussed about the close bilateral relations especially between the Royal Families and close economic cooperation with ongoing exchange of visit of business delegation in financial sector and a business seminar on Thailand planned in June 2018 as well as an economic mission from Luxembourg to Thailand planned in October 2018. They also explored further cooperation in social security, trilateral cooperation in developing countries in the region and mutual support in international organizations. As 2019 marks the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Luxembourg, both sides also discussed about plans to celebrate this special occasion.
