On 28 April 2018, Mr. Roongruk Chanprasert, Counselor and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels attended the opening ceremony of the 1st Open Belgian Youth Muay Thai Champion 2018 in Mechelen, organized by the International Federation of Muay Thai Amateurs (IFMA) – Belgium and the Belgian Kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA Organization (BKMMO). Also present were Mr. Bart Somers, Mayor of Mechelen. Hundreds of Youth Muay Thai boxers from Belgium and other European countries participated in this event which reflects the high popularity of Muay Thai in Belgium and in Europe.
