TCEB launches “THAILAND MICE VENUE STANDARDS 2018” campaign

BANGKOK, 25th July 2018 (NNT) – The Thailand Conventions and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has resolved to promote its Thailand MICE Venue Standards (TMVS) concept internationally, to further stimulate the Thai economy.

TCEB MICE Capabilities Department Director, Orachorn Wongpan-ngam explained today that the bureau’s core mission is to drive the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry in Thailand so that it may bring in revenue. TCEB’s goal is to have the Thai MICE industry be competitive on a global scale and to satisfy government policy seeking to have the sector aid in dispersing revenue to local economies.

The TMVS concept is to validate and standardize MICE destinations. Once promoted to target demographics through marketing campaigns with a focus on digital media, it is hoped that TMVS will boost Thailand’s image as a location for MICE.

TCEB has adopted the “International Standards from Thai Convention Standards” concept for its social media push and is targeting up to 1 million people being made aware of TMVS. The bureau is to initiate 7 million instances of communication in support of up to 175 Thai MICE businesses receiving international accreditation this year.
