Ambassador received a medical case used by Dr. Eugene Henrotin during his time as personal physician of HM King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V)

On 28 April 2019, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand received a medical case used by Dr. Eugene Reytter during his time as personal physician of HM King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V) from Mr. Edmond Henrotin.

Dr. Eugene Reytter was a Belgian medical doctor who came to Thailand in 1895 at the invitation of Mr. Gustave Rolin-Jacquemins, a General Advisor to HM King Chulalongkorn, to serve as personal physician of HM the King. He served HM the King for 17 years. Mr. Edmond Henrotin received the case from his grandfather who was a close friend to Dr. Reytter and helped take care of Dr. Reytter’s children while he was working in Thailand.

The medical case will be kept at the Embassy as an invaluable treasure for admiration by Thais and Belgians.
