On 22 June 2019, Mr. Roongruk Chanprasert, Counselor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, attended the Thai Market in Wevelgem, organized by the Thaise Vrienden Wevelgem VZW. Mr. Jan Seynhaeve, Mayor of Wevelgem, and aldermen of the city also attended the event. In the market, there are stalls selling Thai foods and products and Thai cultural performance on stage. The event drew many people from Wevelgem and nearby cities. The profit from organizing event will go to support the education project in the rural areas of Thailand.
