On 30 June 2019, Mr. Roongruk Chanprasert, Counselor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, attended the Thai Market in Laakdal, which was organized for the first time by Mr. Tonny Luyten and Mr. Sjobbe Schellens, Belgian businessmen who admire Thai culture, together with the Thai-Flemish Culture association (Thaivlac). Also attended was Ms. Gerda Broeckx, alderwoman of the city. In the market, there are stalls selling Thai foods and products and Thai cultural performance on stage. Around 4,000 people from Laakdal and nearby cities joined this event. The Thai vehicles, Tuk Tuk, were provided as shuttle service for the people attending the event.
