On Sunday 5 July 2020, the Ambassador of Thailand presided over the Asalha Puja day (Beginning of Buddhist Lent) ceremony at Thai Dhammaram (Waterloo) Temple.
This marks the beginning of a three month long annual retreat for Buddhist monks and practitioners.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the temple had suspended all religious events in compliance with the coronavirus measures. Therefore, this is the first important event organized by the temple following the relaxation of coronavirus measures announced by the Belgian authorities.
