(19 March 2021) 🇹🇭Update on Thailand’s inbound travel measures🇹🇭

On 19 March 2021, the Committee of the Centre for COVID-19 situation Administration released the plan on relaxing measures for inbound travel to Thailand in 3 phases. The first phase which will be effective from 1 April 2021 consists of as follows:

1. the quarantine period will be reduced from 14 days to 10 days, and travellers will be tested for COVID-19 twice during the quarantine. The tests will be conducted during the 3rd-5th day and 9th-10th day of the quarantine. Nevertheless, the shortened quarantine period is only possible for those who do not travel from countries with a record of new virus variants. The list of the mentioned countries will be communicated shortly. The Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels invites all travellers from Belgium and Luxembourg to closely follow any updates.

2. Travellers are allowed to undertake activities outside of their rooms under certain conditions such as using the gym or the swimming pool, exercising outdoors, and ordering food and goods from outside.

3. A fit to fly certificate will no longer be required for foreign-nationals to enter Thailand; however, a RT-PCR test (negative) result issued no more than 72 hours prior to boarding remains mandatory. For Thai-nationals, either a fit to fly certificate or a RT-PCR test result can be presented.

The Royal Thai Embassy will thereafter communicate the plan for phase 2 and 3.
