MICE

Information for MICE visitors

1) Participants of MICE

Participants of MICE supported by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) will need to apply for a TOURIST VISA to enter Thailand. The visa will be issued upon approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

NB: Participants of MICE whose nationality enjoy visa exemption for tourism purpose still need to apply for a visa to enter Thailand for any duration of stay.

2) The staff or organizer of MICE activities

The staff or organizer of MICE activities will need to apply for NON IMMIGRANT Visa “B” (Business).

For those who will stay in Thailand for less than 15 days, you will be exempted from obtaining the Work Permit. However, you must submit the “Application to perform urgent and necessary duties (ตท.10)” to the Department of Employment.

For those who will stay in Thailand for more than 15 days, you must obtain work permit from the Department of Employment.

Required documents:

  1. Tourist (MICE) visa type is applicable for the applicants with the authorization from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand ONLY.
  2. Passport that is still valid for at least 6 months.
  3. Applicant’s identity photo, taken within the last 6 months.
  4. Declaration form (Download here)
  5. Financial evidence e.g. bank statement ; Last 3-month bank statement with a minimum balance of 700 Euros *Must expressly mention name and date (not older than 14 days before the application date). 
  6. Picture of the applicant holding and showing the info page of the applicant’s passport ( to identify if the applicant’s face is the same person as the passport holder).
