Transit Visa

 

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes:

  • To travel in transit through the Kingdom in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country (category “TS” Transit)
  • To participate in sports activities (sportsmen, sportswomen, etc.) (category “S” Sport) ****** Those who are scheduled to stay in the Kingdom longer than one month  can request Non-Immigrant Visa “O”.
  • The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom (category “C” Captain or Crew)

*** If the purpose of travel is tourism, please apply for a tourist visa.

Validity of Visa

The validity of a visa is three months (single entry), or 6 months validity (double entries)

Period of Stay

Travellers coming to Thailand with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 30 days.


Transit (at the airport longer than 12 hours) TS (single/multiple entry) /

Transit (stopover longer than 24 hours) TS (single/multiple entry)

Required documents: Do

1 . Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document 

  • passport that is still valid for at least 6 months 

2 . Photograph *taken within the last six months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand

4 .Travel booking confirmation

    •  The reservation of the  flight tickets to Thailand ( inbound and outbound leaving Thailand within 30 days)
    •  For the Multiple entry Transit Visa, the reservation of the inbound and outbound flight tickets to Thailand more than once but not over 4 times (e.g. at least two inbound and outbound flight tickets must be provided)

5. Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, proof of sponsorship from a third party 

  • current balance with a minimum amount of 300 euros not older than 14 days from the date of visa application submission  *must expressly mention name-surname and date 

6 . Applicant is required to upload his/her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip. 

7. Applicant must apply for E-visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. 

  • Applicants may upload a Belgian/Luxemburgish ID card, a certificate of resident, and bills that expressly mention name-surname and address.

8 . Please upload your picture holding the photo and information page of the passport.

  • To identify if the applicant’s face is the same person as the passport holder

 


Athletes participating in sport events TS-S (single/multiple entry)

Required documents: Do

1 . Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document 

  • passport that is still valid for at least 6 months 

2 . Photograph *taken within the last six months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand

4 .Travel booking confirmation

    •  The reservation of the inbound and outbound flight tickets to Thailand
    •  For the Multiple entry Transit Visa, the reservation of the inbound and outbound flight tickets to Thailand more than once but not over 4 times (e.g. at least two inbound and outbound flight tickets must be provided)

5 . Certificate from concerned authority of which supports the participation of the visa applicant or visa applicant’s agency in their country 

6 . Invitation letter from the sport event organizer

7. Applicant is required to upload his/her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip. 

8. Applicant must apply for E-visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. 

  • Applicants may upload a Belgian/Luxemburgish ID card, a certificate of resident, and bills that expressly mention name-surname and address.

9. Please upload your picture holding the photo and information page of the passport.

  • To identify if the applicant’s face is the same person as the passport holder

Pilots, captains steering vehicles to Thailand’s ports or stations and crews TS-C (single/multiple entry)

 

Required documents: Do

1 . Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document 

  • passport that is still valid for at least 6 months 

2 . Photograph *taken within the last six months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand

4 .Employment certificate as crew

5. Applicant is required to upload his/her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip. 

6. Applicant must apply for E-visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency.

Extension of Stay

Those who wish to extend their visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889 (Please visit their website). The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer

The Consul may ask for more documents if deemed necessary
