On 26th April 2022, H.E. Mr. Sek Wannamethee, Ambassador and Head of Mission of Thailand to the European Union (EU), met with Ms. Terhi Hakala, EU’s Special Representative for Central Asia. The Special Representative briefed the Ambassador on her role and responsibilities for five countries in Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan). Ambassador Sek briefed the Special Representative on Thailand’s cooperation with the Central Asian states at the multilateral, regional, and bilateral levels. They exchanged views on possible areas of technical cooperation for the five Central Asian States, such as in the fields of agricultural and sustainable development.
