On 18 September 2022, H.E. Mr. Sek Wannamethee, Ambassador of Thailand and Madam hosted a dinner for Police Lieutenant-General Surchate Hakparn, Assistant Police Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, and delegation at the Ambassador’s residence on the occasion of the latter’s official visit to Brussels. Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission and other Embassy diplomats participated in the said dinner. The purpose of this was for the Thai side to meet and discuss the issue of Illegal, Unreported, and Unreported (IUU) with executives of the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE). During the dinner, the Ambassador and Thailand’s Head of Delegation discussed overall Thailand-EU relations and exchanged views and relevant information in preparation for the delegation’s meeting with the EU side.
