          On 14 April 2024, Ms. Warunee Pan-Krajang, Minister, Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, on behalf of the Ambassador-Designate to Belgium, attended the Buddhist ceremony and Songkran festival at Wat Buddharama, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. At the event, Phra Raja Visuddhivides, the Abbot of Wat Thai Dhammaram, and the Abbots of Wat Buddharama and Wat Thai Buddharam Luxembourg gave blessings to Thai nationals, Belgian and foreigners who participated. The Minister and the attendees presented offerings and lunch to the monks and performed water pouring ceremony on Buddha statue, monks and the elderly asking for their blessings which is the good old traditions of Thailand. More than 200 Thai nationals and foreigners attended this event.
           On this occasion, the Minister discussed with the Abbot and faithful temple-goers on their livelihood and activities of Wat Buddharama, including those in 2024, as well as expressed the Embassy’s support for the Temple and the Thai communities in Belgium and Luxembourg.
