On 26 November 2023, Ms. Patcharamon Siriwatana, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. (CDA), the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, led the presentation of offerings ceremony at Wat Thai Buddharam Luxembourg temple. Phramaha Yutthapong Sarikan and other 4 monks from Wat Buddharam the Netherlands, Wat Thai Dhammaram Belgium, Wat Buddhasothorn Uppsala Sweden, participated in the Kathina ceremony. In the afternoon, the CDA participated in the procession of Kathina robe and offered it to the monks together with the Thai community. At the event, there were a number of food and Thai products stands, almshouse for temple-goers and demonstration of Thai cultural activities such as Loy Krathong, and traditional Thai dancing performances. Over 500 Thais and foreigners from Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany participated in the event. On this occasion, the CDA and Mr. Pathompong Singthong, the Consul, engaged with Thai people in need of advices on consular matters and announced the Embassy’s plan to organise the Consular Mobile Service in Luxembourg on 28 April 2024 during the Temple’s Songkran Festival.
